Taking the First Step

Free Screenings

If you're not sure whether your child is reaching their milestones, drop in for a free developmental screening!

During your child's screening, our developmental experts will ask you some questions and observe your child's skills during play. Based on the results, we'll let you know if we think a full evaluation is needed, or refer you to another community program such as the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS).

Free screenings take place at our office on the first Friday of each month, from 9:00-11:00 AM. We also offer free developmental screenings to preschools and Mother's Day Out programs in the Memphis area. Contact us to learn more!

Comprehensive Evaluations

We'll start with an evaluation to identify your child's developmental strengths and challenges. During the evaluation, our team will gather information through:

  • Parent interviews

  • Clinical observations

  • Standardized tests

  • Play-based interactions

Following the evaluation, our team will create personalized goals and a care plan for your child. Your child's plan will guide our therapy sessions, alongside their Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) from the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS). A formal evaluation report will be shared with you and your TEIS Service Coordinator.

Team Approach

Our therapists, teachers, and other pediatric professionals work together to support each child's development and their family's needs.

Everyday Routines

We focus on skills children use in everyday life, providing therapy in familiar environments and incorporating daily routines.

Whole-Child Development

We support the whole child by addressing different areas of development and recognizing that every child learns in their own way.
