Pediatric Learning Center, Inc. (PLC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing pediatric therapy, early intervention, and education services for children and families throughout the Greater Memphis area.

Founded in 2022, the Pediatric Learning Center was established to provide high-quality therapy, education, and support services using a family-centered, team-based approach.
​
As a recognized Early Intervention Resource Agency (EIRA) and a vendor through the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS), we provide comprehensive services through a dedicated team of early interventionists and pediatric therapists.​
We also partner with local agencies and collaborate with university programs to offer hands-on training and clinical learning experiences for students pursuing careers in pediatric therapy and early intervention.​
Through our services and community partnerships, we are committed to empowering families and helping every child reach their full potential.

Our Vision
The Pediatric Learning Center, Inc. is one of the leading providers of therapy and education services for children and their families in the Mid-South. Our pediatric programs provide children with opportunities to learn and grow in an inclusive and family-centered environment.
Our team consists of a variety of pediatric professionals working together to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care in a collaborative and supportive environment, allowing for advanced clinical training, research, and professional development.
Our Guiding Principles
Our approach to everything we do at the Pediatric Learning Center is built around 10 Guiding Principles that reflect how we support children, work with families, and serve our community.
Team Approach
PLC utilizes a comprehensive team approach. Therapists, teachers, and other pediatric professionals work together to address the needs of each child and family.
Whole Child
Everyone learns in different ways. We provide services that address the whole child to encourage development within a variety of learning styles.
Advocacy & Education
As therapists and teachers, we seek to empower parents by providing education and training to the families. In doing so, we are helping them to become advocates for their child.
Child-Centered & Play-Based Learning
We use a child-centered, play-based approach to address goals for social interactions, motor skills, self-help, cognitive development, and language.
Community Involvement & Outreach
Working with families and educators in a variety of community settings allows us to support children and families in the environments where children naturally learn and grow.
Intragency Collaboration
Through partnerships with local universities and community programs, we support clinical training, research, and evidence-based practices.
Inclusion
Inclusion means the full participation of children with special needs alongside their typically developing peers. Everything we offered is designed to be inclusive and help children enhance their functional skills and abilities.

As a nonprofit, we can better balance the needs of families in our community when making programming and business decisions. This also allows us to collaborate with other nonprofit organizations and local universities for training and research purposes.

Why the Bumblebee?

We chose the bumblebee as our mascot because it represents many of the qualities we value at the Pediatric Learning Center. ​

Bees work together as a team to help their community. Bees remind us that we need others in our lives. When we work together, we can achieve great things.
Bees represent focus, dedication, hard work, teamwork, and generosity.

Bees communicate with their hive mates through song, reminding us that when we learn to communicate effectively, we can resolve issues as they arise, work together to create solutions, and achieve our goals.
